( A SOLO SHOW BY RAFIQUE SHAH )

This body of work explores colour as both structure and emotion. Through a dynamic interplay of translucent planes and intersecting grids, the artist constructs a visual language that balances order with spontaneity. Layers of luminous hues overlap and dissolve into one another, creating shifting spatial relationships that invite prolonged contemplation.Rather than depicting a recognisable landscape, the composition evokes an inner architecture—one that speaks of memory, movement, and the rhythm of contemporary life. The geometric framework serves not as a rigid structure, but as a foundation through which colour breathes, expands, and transforms.

Rather than depicting a recognisable landscape, the composition evokes an inner architecture—one that speaks of memory, movement, and the rhythm of contemporary life. The geometric framework serves not as a boundary but as a vessel through which colour breathes, expands, and transforms. The artist’s practice is rooted in abstraction, where light, transparency, and chromatic harmony become the primary subjects. Each work unfolds like a meditative map, offering viewers an experience that is at once vibrant, immersive, and deeply personal.
